The majority of problems a building endures are due to moisture, and its impact on the degradation of components. Marflex Air Barrier Systems are designed to control air leakage and air flow through a building to reduce moisture, improve indoor air quality and increase energy efficiency.
Marflex AIR Barrier 1200 VP is vapor permeable, acts as an air and rain barrier, can be positioned anywhere in a wall assembly, and offers vapor permeance greater than 12.0 perms.
Marflex AIR & VAPOR Barrier 1800 is impermeable to air and vapor transmission, acts as an air, vapor and rain barrier, is watertight, and delivers vapor permeance of less than 0.08 perms.
In addition, Marflex Air Barrier Systems may contribute a possible thirteen (13) points toward LEED® certification for new construction under the following categories:
