Full Code Approval. ARXX Steel was the first form to be recognized by all the major code approval agencies in North America and their technical leadership was instrumental in the development of the Prescriptive Method for Insulating Concrete Forms, now the standard incorporated in the 2009 IECC Building Code.

Reduced Air Infiltration. ARXX Steel homes and buildings consistently average .1 Air Exchange per hour (ACH). This means that the air is completely replaced every 10 hours. This is compared to .4 ACH for wood-framed structures (an exchange every 2.5 hours). The result is much less dust and pollen, and less heat loss.

Superior Insulation. ARXX steel offers greater energy efficiency than the 2009 IECC Building Code. Combined with the thermal mass benefits of the concrete and the significant reduction in air infiltration, ARXX Steel buildings actually perform at values from R-30 to R-50.

Superior Sound Barrier. With only ½” drywall, ARXX Steel walls have a laboratory tested minimum Sound Class Rating of 48+. ARXX Steel keeps the noise out and away from where you live and work.

Superior Fire Resistance. ARXX Steel provides a minimum 4-hour (ASTM-E119) Class A fire wall before any wall covering is applied. ARXX Steel’s extremely low toxicity, Smoke Development Index of less than 300, Flame Spread Index of 0, and Flash Ignition Temperature of 700º F make ARXX Steel walls safer from the hazards of fire.

Sustainable and Green. ARXX steel's longer building lifespan contributes significantly to meeting major energy-efficiency and green building programs including Building America Program, ENERGY STAR®, R-2000, Novoclimat and NAHB National Green Building Standard, LEED Certification and LEED Platinum rating levels. High recycled material content. Does not emit VOCs. Does not contain CFCs or HFCs.

Superior Structures. Structures built with ARXX Steel are up to 25% stronger than other concrete walls due to the slow curing of the concrete within the insulated panels and are up to four times stronger than wood.

Termite Protection. ARXX Steel is manufactured with Perform Guard® EPS Termite-Resistant Insulation. Perform Guard is the only code-recognized method for installing foam insulation below grade in heavily infested termite area of the U.S.

Superior Strength. ARXX Steel has demonstrated blast-resistance by the U.S. military and has engineered design per ACI 318 capable of tall walls (60’) and multi-story buildings. ARXX Steel walls are Resistance to F-5 tornado winds (including Florida High Velocity Wind Zone).
